Property Services

The Newport News Sheriff Office does allow certain medical related items to be dropped off for incarcerated individuals. Items must be approved prior to dropping off and / or ordered by a physician. Items can be dropped off at the Jail located at 224 26^th Street daily between 9:00am – 3:00pm

Incarcerated individuals can release property to a third party. Once the incarcerated individual has signed over their property, the receiving person must be at least 18 years old, be named on the release form, and show a valid I.D. Property can be picked up at the Jail located at 224 26^th Street. Property can be picked up Tuesday thru Friday from 9:00am-3:00pm
