The ride fee is $20.00 per bike and an additional $5 per passenger.

hot dog social 768x359Following a safety briefing, we’ll leave at approximately 11 a.m. The ride usually lasts about an hour. Everyone returns to the park for the hot dog social, raffles, auctions, music, and more.

It’s a great event and we appreciate all the riders who support us each year. There are more than 80 adults and children enrolled in the Project Lifesaver program. Sheriff Gabe Morgan says it’s important that families who need this coverage can get it without worrying about how to pay for it, so NNSO clients don’t pay anything. All money from this ride goes directly to our program.

Ride raises $6,000 for NNSO Project Lifesaver

UPDATE:   Nearly 100 bikers took part in our 10th anniversary ride.  The event raised $6,000 for Project Lifesaver.  We are grateful to everyone who took part and the volunteers who gave up part of their Sunday to help make the event a big success.

THANK YOU!

No date for 2025 has been set yet; however, we are planning it for October.

On Sunday, October  27, motorcyclists will ride from Newport News Park to raise money for our Project Lifesaver search-and-rescue program.

2023 motorcycle return 300x140Registration will open at 9 a.m. at Shelters 19 and 20.  The fee is $20.00 per bike and $5.00 p/passenger.

The approximately hour-long escorted ride should start around 11 a.m., after a safety briefing.   For some bikers, our ride has been their first experience with pack riding, so we want to make sure everyone's comfortable with it.

When the riders return to the park, they'll enjoy a hot dog social, DJ music, raffles, and more.

Project Lifesaver is a non-profit search-and-rescue program for adults and children diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Autism, Down syndrome, traumatic brain injury and other mental disorders.
