NNSO's Car & Bike Show benefit is September 10

car show slideThe Newport News Sheriff’s Office will hold its annual Car and Bike Show at Todd Stadium on Sunday, September 10.

Vintage cars and motorcycles, and new models, too, will be on display from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  There will be trophies awarded in many categories including Sheriff's Choice, Project Lifesaver Favorite, and Car Club with the most entrants.  There will also be prizes, a 50/50 raffle, DJ music, and more.

Advance registration is now open for vehicle owners.  On-site registration begins at 10 a.m. on the day of the event.   The entry fee is $20 per vehicle plus two pet food items that will help the animals at the Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter.    Click here to download the flyer/registration form.

The show is free for people who want to see the vehicles and talk with the owners.  Donations are always appreciated.

All money raised at the show supports the NNSO’s Project Lifesaver program.  Sheriff Gabe Morgan covers all costs for qualified Newport News residents who may wander from home due to disorders like Alzheimer’s, Autism, Down syndrome, or traumatic brain injury.  Clients wear a transmitter bracelet on their wrists or ankles.  Trained Sheriff’s Office personnel respond when a client is reported missing.  The NNSO’s program has a 100% success rate in safely returning people to their loved ones.

Anyone with questions about the show, registration, and/or Project Lifesaver can e-mail Community Relations Officer Capt. Gross at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
