Car & Bike Show reaches milestone
The Newport News Sheriff’s Office will host its 10th annual Car & Bike Show benefit on Sunday, September 8 in the parking lot of Todd Stadium.
The show raises money to keep the NNSO’s Project Lifesaver program free for residents who qualify.
The registration fee is $20.00 per vehicle and two pet food items for the Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter. Registration by mail is now open or owners can register on event day from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
Viewing and judging for prizes will take place between noon and 2:00 p.m.
Spectators can walk the parking lot for free and vote for their favorites in several categories. Trophies will be awarded to the top 15 picks!
All donations to Project Lifesaver and the PRAS are welcome and much appreciated.
Project Lifesaver uses state-of-the-art locating technology to find clients – adults and children – who tend to wander because of Alzheimer’s, Autism, and other cognitive issues. This program helps provide peace of mind to their families that their loved ones will be quickly located and returned safely home.
