header vinelink blueWhen you register for the VINE service, you will receive a phone call or e-mail about court dates related to your case. VINE will also contact you about the release, escape or transfer of your offender. VINE can also notify you of the compliance status of a sex offender.

 If you are the victim of an offender held by the Virginia Department of Corrections and wish to register as the victim on record, please contact the Virginia DOC Office of Victim Services at 1-800-560-4292. If you are not a crime victim, please refer to the Department of Corrections website or call 1-804-674-3000.

The Virginia VINE Service is provided to you in an effort to help keep the public safe and informed. Do not depend solely on the VINE service for your protection. If you feel that you may be at immediate risk, please contact Newport News Police Department.
